The Kari Club’s first radio interview

Well at least the sun was shining today! After yesterday’s torrential rain and yes it is MAY. All we can do is grin and bear it. Luckily, today the sun was out as ┬ái was strolling down Queens road towards BBC SUSSEX. I was here a few years ago with Indian Summer and took along some goodies to be eaten on air. Was fun! This time its all about the new venture and to talk about the journey and what the Kari Club is all about. Part of the food festival and tackling the subject of real food. It was a fantastic afternoon talking about the universal language of love > FOOD. I was keen to present that the recipe boxes can be cooked by anyone at any level. The array of spices provided and to enable to cook together and slow down the fast paced life that we all lead. Well at least for one day ­čÖé

The Journey

Who┬áwould have thought after 15 years of┬árunning a┬árestaurant….

As i hung up my apron strings last February, it took some time to sink in, my children were saying “your home again daddy!” ┬áWell, a refreshing change from the hectic life running a restaurant, the late nights and the long hours. My love of indian food still brings me back to the “what if” question only this time a different angle.

As i took the summer off and travelled across south india, the beautiful sights and smells of the vast landscape, culture and amazing food leads me to my next journey.

“What if i can supply fantastic spices and ingredients with great recipes for the great British public to cook at home?”….. and here we are..

After so many trials and testing we are nearing to my dream of empowering the novices to the experienced to embark on a new culinary journey of indian food from my eyes. Let it begin
